T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL TAIWAN was founded in 1971 by world-renowned, Father of Prestressed Concrete, Prof. T.Y.LIN, in recognition of the need of the Taiwan engineering community for additional knowledge on the application of prestressed concrete in civil structures; after almost 20 years of the founding of T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL in San Francisco (U.S.A.) in 1954. T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL TAIWAN was at first primarily a structural engineering firm, and later expanded its scope significantly, especially after reorganizing in 1976 into T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL TAIWAN, INC.
T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL TAIWAN, with its cumulative engineering design experience gained through the participation in various major infrastructures and special projects for many years and with the technical cooperation and support from T.Y.LIN International, has grown steadily into a multi-disciplinary consulting firm over the years, with increasing staff at each level. Currently, T.Y.LIN INTERNATIONAL TAIWAN has a large number of employees who come from many different special fields with B. S. or M. S. degrees, all having professional skills and hands-on experience in respective fields.
