It has announced the list winners of 2023 New Taipei City Public Construction Quality Awards dated July 28. Our company’s Rebuilding of Xiadian Creek Bitan Weir and improving the water environment in Bitan won the first prize of 11 awarded projects. Taoyuan City Government the 7th Public Works Gold Awards launched the list of winners on August 10, 2023. ‘Dahan river crossing road recreational corridor PCM’ (Daxi Zhongzhuang bridge) won the excellent work in civil engineering category, and ‘Taoyuan Zhongli chung yuan expropriation project’ was awarded the excellent work in civil engineering category. We appreciated all talented colleagues are diligent at work, out of their comfort zone, embrace future change and continue the enhancement of professional technologies with brainstorm innovations.

The Bitan Weir renovation planning project adopts the fixed weir at both ends and four steel weirs installed in the middle to replace the damaged rubber dam, so upstream water environment is created by raising steel weirs which can increase its resistance against breaching and river safety against flooding and enhance the flexibility of facing extreme weather.

This project combines hydraulic engineering, structure, geotechnical engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, landscape architect and other expertise, the residents participated in sustainable environment activities. The concept of integrated engineering and ecological design incorporate it into the fish passage design majority for an ecological restoration corridor in Xindian Creek, successfully provide the functions of mitten crabs anadromous migration and fish migration, improving the surrounding environment of Bitan Scenic Area.

The suspension bridge across the middle of the Dahan River, with a total length of 419M approximately (the main span is approximately 330M) and a width of about 2.5M. It adopts two-span two-tower suspension bridge. The recreational attractions on the left and right river banks can be enhanced to improve the overall tourism attractions after the completion.

‘Zhongli Chung Yuan cultural and creative park expropriation project’ splitting up the two bases from Provincial Highway 1 on the northern side and Puzhong Road on the eastern side, Taiwan Railways Western Trunk line on the southern side and Zhongxin Road on the western side. It will be newly built 10.98 hectares with a width of 18 meters road.
