‘‘The project of National Highway no. 1 Wugu Interchange improvement the groundbreaking ceremony held on May 28, 2023. Executive vice president Clayton Liu with design team attend this groundbreaking ceremony. Wugu Interchange is the main traffic access of Wugu District, Taishan District and Xinzhuang District. On the service of Provincial Highway 64 and Provincial Highway 65, it is the 4^th busiest interchange with high volume of traffic flow about 49 million mobile vehicles last year. This improvement project includes northbound entrance and exit ramps and adjacent road widening. The construction cost of this project is NTD33.36 million and is expected to be completed by April 2027. The groundbreaking ceremony attendees include the president of Executive Yuan Dr. Chen Chien-Jen and Minister of MOTC Dr. Wang Kwo-Tsai, legislators, councilmen and local gentry. It will be a huge traffic migration after this interchange project is on service, traffic accident is expected to be reduced and improve the service level of interchange ramp and regional access road and minor, enhance the efficiency of road network functioning and reduce the traffic congestion, boost economic growth and development of Wugu district.
