	Danshui, Dahan, Hsindien Rivers—Revitalization Water Taxi Program
Product Description

This project involves the upgrade of river flood protection facilities by the New Taipei City Government. The New Taipei City Government has planned to improve the overall landscape surrounding the Danshui River system through the planning, design, and supervision of the dredging of the Danshui River. This project will improve drainage systems, sewage facilities, beautify river banks, and clean up riverside recreational areas. Transportation networks will be improved with new bicycle paths and river crossings, enhancing the landscape around the Danshui River. Additionally, river flood protection facilities and floodplain barriers will be redesigned to ensure a safe and beautiful environment for tourism and recreation.

The affected areas of this project begin north from Kuandu Bridge, and south to Dahan River Hsinhai Bridge and Xindian River Zhongzhen Bridge. These rivers are located in a tidal zone which is subject to the rising and ebbing of ocean tide, therefore the river flow is often obstructed. Many serious sludge conditions happened in the convergent areas of Xindian, Dahan and Danshui Rivers. Presently the river network located at the end of Da-Dau-Zhen Pier is owned by the Taipei City Government. The scope of works include: Danshui , Xindian and Dahan Rivers dredging, design and construction management of the new piers at Chung-Shiao Bridge, Wah-Jiang Bridge, Leeje Street, Zhong-Yang Bridge.
