The project is intended to comply with future traffic capacity demands as well as to enhance the transportation efficiency of access roads for Zhushan district, Nantou County and adjacent district in Changhua and Yunlin County. The project extends from Xhushan interchange (243K+775) and Dounan interchange (260K+300). East of marker 249k+960 will adopt embankments, while west of the marker (crossing Chingshuei creek) will adopt a bridge structure. The project will utilize a diamond shaped geometry to combine two intersections into one. Given this merging of roads, the traffic signal’s visual distance will need to be lengthened. In order to shorten the stop lag time, the project will connect with National Freeway No.3 directly. The project costs were estimated of NT Dollars 7.21 million.
