Huanhe Expressway Circling New Taipei City Plan － Yonghe District, Lot No. 7, 8, and 9 Sections Design

To establish an expressway network system for the Taipei metropolitan area and reduce the heavy traffic problem in New Taipei City, in 1996 the Construction and Planning Agency of the Ministry of Interior has proposed the project “Huan-He Expressway Circling New Taipei City Plan”. The main purpose of the project is to promote an ecological-balanced transportation planning design and construction process that combines with the area’s landscape.

This project includes the original New Taipei City Expressway construction sections No.7, 8, and 9. It starts from Fu-Shiang Rd. where at the east side of Hua-zhong Bridge, (adjacent to construction section No. 6), and it ends at construction section No. 9-1. Total length of this expressway is around 4.8km. It encompasses the main bridge (1,355m), a ramp bridge (739m), the Zhong-cheng Bridge (152m), and the Zhong-cheng Temporary Bridge (306m). The total construction value is of NT Dollars 3.2 billion.
