Dahua System Interchange Project (National Freeway No.1, Contract 156) for the Wanli-Rueibin Line of East-West Expressway

This project located at the junction of Malingkeng River and Keelung River. Dahua Interchange overcomes the geographical and hydraulical restriction using new construction technology. To reduce the environmental impact, adapting Y style interchange system with 4 ramps (total of 4.05km) which consists of National Freeway No. 1 north exit ramp connecting eastward Provincial Highway No. 62 to Rueibin direction, on ramp connecting westward Highway No. 62 from Rueibin to National Freeway No. 1 south bound Wudu direction and two ramps connecting Freeway No. 1 Wudu to Highway No. 62 Wanli. In order to upgrade service level ,Freeway No. 1 Dahua to Wudu Sector has been widening to eight lanes for north and south direction, the outer lane has been designed for exit use (total length is 2.37km ; vertical gradient adjustment is 0.63km), it also includes improvement of Wudu Interchange by eliminating south on ramp and change to A leg, increasing north inbound connection road.
