The project adopted new “Lateral Slide Construction” method. In general, the reconstruction work will construct new structure upon completion of a temporary bridge along side of the original bridge for maintaining traffic flow during construction period, then demolishing the temporary bridge after completion of new bridge. While on this “Lateral Slide Construction” method, the temporary bridge girder will be laterally moved into position to become part of widened structure and maintain original alignment and save girder cost. Two-way traffic of 2-lane each with 1 meter inside shoulder and 2.5-3 meters outside shoulder width will be maintained during the construction.
