Located in the central area of eastern Taiwan, Taichung has expanded to become a pivotal government and economic center. To improve the traffic condition during rush hours, besides continuously promoting subway systems (MRT) in recent years, The Taichung City Government has decided to promote mass public and private transportation systems. Therefore, it has launched the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) blue line project aiming to enhance traffic service level. Total transporting distance is 17.2 km departing from Taichung Railway Station, passing through Taiwan Boulevard, and ending at Providence University. Operation characteristics include traffic right of way, high service density, and smart management. T.Y. Lin was commissioned by The Transportation Bureau of Taichung City Government to provide project management service. Service content includes schedule management, quality management, interface coordination, and review of drawings. The completion of the project creates a convenient and seamless transportation environment for local residents.
