The over 70 year old  fan shape building is the only survived depot among same age structures.  With aesthetically sound facade, the building is asked by the public to be retrofitted and preserved as railway museum.
Due to its poor maintenance and structural weakness, the building is on the verge of collapse.  The repair program includes field inspection, assessment of seismic resistance ability and proposed retrofit plans on the basis of preserving its historically architectural features.  And the proposal include evaluations and suggestions on exhibition contents, operation plan and financial development plan. Hence make a good example to revive old buildings through feasible ways.
