The scope of the CICE service includes the design check for civil works of viaducts/bridge and small building for communication, power supply facilities, etc. Since the project is near the HsinHwa fault and Tainan Science Park, both fault effect and vibration mitigating measures need to be taken into consideration. Lot C280 is between TK249+814~TK284+221, with a total viaduct length of 34.4km. T.Y. Lin is in charge of the CICE work for VB1、VB2、VB4b、VB5a、VB7、CTB1、CTB2 and BRB1 sections (around 10km). As for C291, it is between TK284+221~-TK312+734, with a total viaduct length of 28.5km. It consists of 920 simply supported spans and 10 three span continuous girder with 13m wide deck. The substructures are all single column concrete piers with cast-in-place concrete pile foundation. The most common length for concrete pile is around 60m.
