The project contain 34.574 km of main line and 1.2km of Liuchia maintenance base branch line. The main line includes 5.11km of cut and fill section, 23.02km of bridges, one 4.27km long mined (Hukou) Tunnel, and four short mined tunnels with total length of 2.18km. As government policy switched from tradition tender to BOT, this design project was finished partially to meet the BOT policy.
