The 29th Modern Engineering Technology Seminar, organized by the Chinese Institution of Engineers (CIE), was held on October 22~24, attendees from engineering industry, and experts and scholars from the United States. The topics of this seminar was "Smart Taiwan, Innovative Technology", which included four topics: "Smart Cities", "Smart Transportation", "Smart Manufacturing", and "Circular Economy" and explored the blueprint for the country's economic and construction development with a progressive perspective.
TY Lin Taiwan organized the "Smart Cities" panel, T.Y.LIN Taiwan president Ray Wang hosted , associate Vice President Pan Ge-Ping gave a brief presentation about "Digital transformation and future of the engineering industry". The seminar shared a number of mature and innovative technologies in the engineering industry, including artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and intelligent construction management system, technologies such as i-construction, unmanned vehicles and intelligent robots, and 3D design, which are the key development directions for the digital transformation of the domestic engineering industry through the application of technology. Instead of labors, and to reduce the carbon emissions generated by the whole life cycle of the engineering industry, echoing the global goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
