16. in full swing (正在全力进行、如火如荼)
英文意思：operating fully ,at its peak (完全展开、达到尖峰)
Swing是摇摆的动作，全然摇摆，也就是比喻一件事情进行到最高潮的意思。
例如：
The party was in full swing when we arrived .
(我们到达时恰值宴会达到高潮。)
This before the promotional campaign is in full swing.
(这在推销活动之前正处于高潮。)
By now the value analysis study will be in full swing.
(到此，价值分析研究进入关键阶段。)

例如：

the sky’s the limit英文意思是像天空的极限，也就是希望像天空一样，一望无边，像天空那么大，因此只要肯努力，永远有成功的机会。
例如：
Order what you want，the sky is the limit.
你要什么就定购什么，毫不限制。
The sky is the limit or the milan president.

在适应您的工作风格方面是没有限制的。

19. one’s goose is cooked(完蛋了，倒大霉)
英文意思： to be in a lot of trouble (遭遇很大麻烦)
《伊索寓言》里有一个故事说，一个人有一只会生金蛋的鹅，但每天只生一个，这人嫌生得慢，拿刀把鹅杀了取蛋，结果鹅死了，蛋也没了，这个故事写人又笨又贪心。在中文里，也有一句“杀鸡取卵”的话，正跟英文不谋而合。
鹅既然杀了，就拿来煮了吃，英文“煮了他的鹅”的意思是“鹅被杀了，他也完蛋了”（因为没有鹅，名誉毁了、计划垮了、机会丢了等）。
例如：
When the police found his fingerprints he knew his goose was cooked .
(警方发现了他的指纹，他意识到他倒霉了。)
The speeding ticket cooked his goose with his father.
(超速驾驶罚款单使他在他父亲那儿倒了霉。)
Her goose was cooked when she was caught cheating on the test.
A: If you don’t hand in the report by tomorrow , your goose was cooked.

20. to pay the piper(面对事实，承担后果，承担费用，支付费用)
英文意思：to face the truth(面对事实)
to pay the piper，英文直译是付款给吹笛人，聆听笛子表演时或可达到忘我的境界，但听完后，回到现时，也应该掏腰包，准备付款。
因此to pay the piper，这个短句有承担费用、支付费用和承担后果的意思。
例如：
They who listen to such music may expect to have to pay the piper.
倾听这种音乐的人，则势必要出钱。
You have to pay the piper every once in a while
你有时也要承担一些费用。
Bob had spent all his money and got into debt, so now he must pay the piper.
