Shih-Lun CHANG

These photographs, largely taken between 2005 and 2008, is a subjective and partial record of the flourishing indie music scene in Taiwan. In recent years, despite the ubiquitous recession in popular music industry, a rather new phenomenon of independent music scene that operates consciously outside the traditional network of major label has gradually taken shape, challenging and re-articulating the hegemony of youth culture and the politics of music in various ways.
